Online therapy.
What to expect from online therapy.
Since March 2020 many of us have got more used to working online and using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems. However we appreciate that many people feel worried or uncertain about accessing therapy this way or lack confidence in using this kind of technology. As a team we predominantly use Zoom and Teams for our sessions, which are GDPR compliant. If you have a preference for a different or particular platform (such as Skype or FaceTime) then discuss this with your therapist and we will always do our best to accommodate if possible. If you have any technology or GDPR questions about using a particular platform then we will endeavour to answer them.
Therapy will often involve keeping diaries, setting up experiments and drawing out diagrams. We can use technology to share documents either by screensharing, using a whiteboard app, and using a GDPR compliant cloud-based document sharing platform such as Google docs. Documents and handouts can also be shared with clients via email after the session.
For more information on online working and to expect please see our terms and conditions where there is a dedicated section.
